How to publish and share an AI character on Charms

Creating a character and making it public are different decisions. Publishing gives other people a way to discover the character and begin their own conversations. Before sharing, check that the public identity is clear and that your private test chat is not being used as the public description.

Create and refine the character with the private option when you want to experiment. Try a first conversation and an unexpected question. Check the name, appearance, personality and speaking style together. A stranger should be able to understand what makes the character interesting without reading your personal chat history.

Write a profile that gives people a starting point
Use a specific description rather than a list of every possible ability. Explain the character’s point of view and what someone might talk about with it. Use an original identity and material you have permission to use. Keep private contact information and details from personal conversations out of the public profile.
Choose visibility and review the current requirements
Use the creation or publishing flow’s visibility controls to choose public when the character is ready. Review the action and any credit requirement shown before confirming. Public profiles and discovery depend on the app’s publication and moderation rules; publication does not guarantee an immediate ranking or a particular number of visitors.
Before you share
Can a new visitor explain who this character is, what to talk about and how to start? If any answer is unclear, refine the profile and test again before sharing widely.
Share the public profile and improve the first impression
Open the public character profile and share its link using the available sharing controls. Check the link as someone who has not created the character. The profile should lead naturally into a first chat. Other people form their own conversations and relationship context; sharing a character does not mean sharing your personal transcript.
